A Weekend Getaway at the Wonderful Gumber Bothy

How about an escape from it all with a group of 3 or more friends to stay a night at this remote, but well kitted out Bothy in West Sussex?

Your group can opt for 2 full days walking of approximately 18km per day, or just get in touch and I’ll arrange a shorter route for you. Unreachable by car, any route would be on varied terrain over the Downs, through fields and peaceful woodlands to the remote & tranquil location of the Bothy.

Just off the South Downs Way this unique Bothy has 4 to 5 bed dorms with sleeping platforms and mattresses, a communal kitchen with cooking facilities but no fridge, hot showers, clean toilets & a small lounge area. To stay in the Bothy, your group will need to bring sleeping bags or if you’re up for carrying a tent, there’s the option to sleep under the stars. You will need to bring your own food for the 2 days.

As with all my walks, we’ll go at a comfortable pace for the group, enjoying the views, the company and an evening of escapism at the Bothy; fingers crossed we’ll be able to relax around the campfire too!

A fabulous opportunity to get away from it all, have a change of scene, switch off, hang out with your friends & spend time walking in a stunning area of the South Downs.
